EmailOur Work for Education for Peace
FoR is committed to peace education and encouraging people of all ages to explore and engage with what it means to be a peacemaker in our world.
FoR has a dedicated peace education worker, whose role is to educate and engage young people in the work for international peace and reconciliation and the practice of nonviolence.
The peace education worker is available to work with to student and youth groups on issues of peace and conflict, although her work mainly focuses on 16 to 30 (ish) year olds, and is involved in researching and promoting campaigns for young people to get involved in.
FoR's Young Peacemaker’s Network (YPN) provides opportunities for young people interested in peace and conflict issues to actively engage and receive training on a range of peace-related issues including conflict resolution, campaigning skills and public speaking.
The YPN provides workshops and talks on a range of peace and conflict issues within schools, colleges and universities across the UK, individually tailored to the pupils needs.
The YPN also produces a range of resources for young people, and those who work with them, including the Peacemaker Briefings, campaigns specifically designed for young people, and the YPN mailing.
