Peace Research & Education Trust (PRET) is a charity set up to provide advice and information on the causes and effects of war and violence and peaceful resolution. To build peace, we need to understand the conditions for its growth, and develop the skills to overcome obstacles without recourse to self-perpetuating violence.

Crucially, the coming generation needs to learn that neither violence nor threats of violence are the means for achieving a just or lasting peace.
