The Peace Museum displays personal, community, national and international peacemaking. It is unique in the UK, covering peace history, nonviolence and conflict resolution. Its outreach work includes educational programmes, travelling exhibitions and an audio visual website.

The Peace Museum is an independent charitable trust. Collection contributions are very welcome.

Online resources

Our online resources include digitised images and information on some items from the collection. A virtual tour of the gallery including being able to access information on some of the items.

Some of our Permanent Exhibitions are also viewable online.

We also have Activity Sheets (4 in total - with notes for the teacher) on the themes of Art, Poetry, War toys & Peace toys, and Nobel. They are suitable for a wide age range.

You can also play a game online.

The Peace Museum has a number of travelling exhibitions:

"Champions of Peace - Nobel's Peace Prize - The First 100 Years"
32 A2 panels. Primary and Secondary Education leaflet available. Available for free loan plus mailing cost.

"A Vision Shared - Art from the History of the Peace Movement"
48 panels. Available in AI (large) and A3 (small) sizes plus education leaflets and questionnaires (also on website).

"Such a Journey, Peace Stories, Poems and Memories from Bradford People"
12 A1 panels. Themes include Families, Peace and War, Friends and Neighbours. Book available £5 (plus £1 postage).

"Across Enemy Lines: Women and Pacifism during the First World War"
9 A4 pages. KS3 and KS4. History, English, Citizenship, PSHE. Includes map, contemporary cartoons, questions for students and suggestions for further work.
